Este nuevo programa puesto en marcha por el Instituto Universitario Vive Sano tendr\u00e1 como finalidad capacitar a profesionales de la salud en los fundamentos de la nutrici\u00f3n enteral y parenteral, siendo esta una necesidad imperante considerando los grandes avances en las \u00faltimas tres d\u00e9cadas y los desaf\u00edos que involucran el mantenimiento de una salud \u00f3ptima en el paciente. Dentro de los escenarios cl\u00ednicos m\u00e1s resaltantes destaca el de los pacientes hospitalizados con ingestas de nutrientes comprometidas durante per\u00edodos prolongados.<\/p>

Por lo tanto, la nutrici\u00f3n es un componente esencial en el plan de atenci\u00f3n integral de estos pacientes. Este apoyo nutricional incluye mitigar los efectos de la inanici\u00f3n y alterar favorablemente la historia natural o la respuesta al tratamiento de una enfermedad.<\/p>

El apoyo nutricional est\u00e1 claramente indicado cuando la ingesta de alimentos o la asimilaci\u00f3n de nutrientes se ver\u00e1n comprometidas durante un per\u00edodo prolongado, ya que, de lo contrario, se producir\u00e1 inanici\u00f3n y muerte. Dichos pacientes pueden incluir aquellos con funci\u00f3n gastrointestinal inadecuada (p. ej., s\u00edndrome de intestino corto u obstrucci\u00f3n intestinal cr\u00f3nica), as\u00ed como aquellos con disfunci\u00f3n orofar\u00edngea grave o deterioro neurol\u00f3gico permanente.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
