Adem\u00e1s se resalta otros usos que incluyen la mejora directa del rendimiento o los beneficios indirectos que se derivan de la provisi\u00f3n de apoyo al entrenamiento, la manipulaci\u00f3n del f\u00edsico, el alivio del dolor musculoesquel\u00e9tico, la recuperaci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida de las lesiones y la mejora del estado de \u00e1nimo.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sin embargo, deben considerarse como complementos de la dieta, no como sustitutos de una buena alimentaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p><h2><b>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es un suplemento?<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Un alimento, un componente alimentario, un nutriente o un compuesto no alimentario que se ingiere intencionadamente adem\u00e1s de la dieta consumida habitualmente con el objetivo de conseguir un beneficio espec\u00edfico para la salud y\/o el rendimiento.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los suplementos diet\u00e9ticos son utilizados por atletas de todos los niveles deportivos, lo que refleja la prevalencia de su uso en la sociedad en general.<\/span><\/p><p><b>Funciones dentro del plan de rendimiento del deportista:<\/b><\/p><ul><li
